Andrea Kader is a sustainable fashion brand based in Costa Rica.
They work exclusively with upcycled materials and focus mainly on denim and button up shirts. They experiment and push boundaries to create one-of-a-kind products that are beautiful, versatile, and timeless. The materials are locally sourced, their production process is transparent and they produce each piece in studio. Andrea Kader believes that fashion should be circular, and the company is working towards a future where the clothes people love are never discarded, but transformed and reinvented.
Andrea Kader collaborated with Goodwill Industries in New York in
2018 for the designer’s BFA thesis from Parsons The New School. Goodwill provided all the second hand denim that was used to create the collection. That same year, Kader also collaborated with Piñatex, a London-based company that makes vegan leather from the residue of pineapple leaves. The designer created a capsule collection that was presented at the Omina Sustainability Summit in San José, Costa Rica. Currently, the brand collaborates with Reveal Ten, and sells exclusive designs on their emerging designers online shop.
Kader’s first designs were available in 2018 at “Antidote”, a design
store in Miami, Florida. Their first complete collection was sold at “Hija De Tigre”, in San José, Costa Rica in 2019. Since their website launch in January 2020, the brand has shifted mostly towards e-commerce sales.

Andrea Kader has been published in magazines such as Nylon
Magazine, Condé Nast Traveler, Vanity Fair and Traffic Magazine.

On September 13th the brand presented a collection for the first time at NYFW in the show “The Ones To Watch” organized by Flying Solo, and will later exhibit the collection on the Costa Rica Fashion Week digital catwalk (October 1st , 2nd , 3rd ).
